What to expect in psychiatric treatment
Make sure to read my policy and consent forms and sign them prior to the first appointment! There are limitations to my services. No-show and late cancellation fees apply to initial and follow up appointments.
Initial appointments are 45-60 minutes. We will go over your concerns, current symptoms, relevant life history, medical and psychiatric history. We will set treatment goals, and treatment recommendations (medications and psychotherapy).
Follow up appointments vary from 10-20 minutes for medication management and 45-60 minutes for psychotherapy and medication management. Frequency of follow up varies from weekly to every 3 months.
I might recommend a higher level of care, such as, inpatient treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
